Half Term Striker Training

Applications are now being invited from players that either want to learn how to become a striker or players who are already playing as a striker and want to become better.

The Half Term Striker Intensive is a full week program of striker training consisting of the following important elements:

1. Technique Development

   This part of the program will unleash your potential to strike the ball correctly and accurately in many different scenarios including free-kicks, penalties, shooting, chipping, swerving the ball and so forth.

2. Speed & Explosive Power

   Possibly THE most sought after skill in professional football is speed. We will help you develop explosive speed and power so you can accelerate away from defenders with ease. This part of the program will also correct your running technique and give you essential tips on how to increase your speed almost immediately.

3. Fast Feet Skills

   These kind of skills are essential to create space for yourself so you can show both defenders and keepers who’s really in control. You will learn better balance, co-ordination and essential decision making so you know when and where to perform certain skills.

4. Confidence

   We coach many players who are very skilful but lack confidence. They will tell you themselves that performing skills in the garden is easy but nearly impossible in matches without the confidence to do it. We will teach you quick, easy and highly effective mental skills to build your confidence, self esteem and self belief so you are able to play with flair and how you want to play.

5. 1v1s & Tournaments

   In this part of the program players get the chance to show off their new skills and put into pratcice all they have learnt.It’s the perfect opportunity to fine tune your skills and learn how to take on defenders with confidence. We use specialist striker training aids to help develop your attacking and shooting skills further.

Training Schedule: All training will take place at Penketh High School, Heath Road, Warrington, WA5 2BY. We have use of both the indoor and outdoor facilities. A packed lunch with plenty of fluids will be required. There are no catering facilities onsite.

Jack Plays for Liverpool

Jack is part of our Mini Strikers Advanced class and is a very committed and hard working player. It was great to see all his hard work complimented by an opportunity to play for one of the country’s biggest Premiership clubs.

Jack was selected to take part in special coaching sessions set up by the club in an attempt to spot talent at a young age. And what a talent Jack is.

Tracy Grundy, Jack’s mum said, “He has learned a lot of new skills in the 12 months he has been here [Mini Strikers] which have contributed to him gaining a place at Liverpool FC’s Academy.”

Head Coach at Striker Academy, Imtiaz Jamil said, “Jack is a very focussed and determined young boy who has developed excellent ball skills and confidence whilst he’s been with us. Mini Strikers specialises in coaching pre school and toddler football in Warrington.

Pre School Football Training Warrington

Classes take place in Great Sankey (Gt. Sankey) and Penketh, in the suburbs of Warrington.

Each Mini Strikers class is split into Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced to ensure your child gets the appropriate football coaching for their needs.

Many children join our Beginners class but are soon progressed through to our Intermediate and Advanced classes.

At the ages of 3 years, 4 years and 5 years old some children are not sure if football is right for them. In these circumstances we always suggest trying our First Lesson Free.

Summer Training

We train in the fresh outdoors during summer. Summer training starts in March right through to the end of September (weather permitting). The benefits of training outdoors helps to increase lung capacity and intake of oxygen which helps to create healthier bone structure. Plus it’s a lot of fun!

Winter Training

Mini Strikers winter training takes place indoors. We use only the best indoors facilities available that are clean, the right size and have plenty of room for mums and dads to relax and watch your child train to play football!
Winter training takes place from October to the end of February.
